'...there are no screws holding it together, just some pewter, which not only has a structural purpose, but also gives the piece it's defining feature.'
The Pour Man's stool is a domestic bar stool joined by pewter cast directly into the walnut. Inspired by sand casting and the result of experimentation in casting materials directly into wood. The outcome is a unique process that requires basic tooling and producing the stool from the two raw materials, timber and pewter ingots the process if relatively sustaiinble as the tow aterials can eaily be sepataed after life, with the pewter having the potential to be re cast.
